Côte d'Azur

Antibes Juan-les-Pins is at the heart of the Côte d’Azur formerly known as the French Riviera, halfway between Nice International Airport (2nd airport of France after Paris) and the city of Cannes.

Two names and three distinct personalities for this unique city, the coming together of 3 villages by their size and atmosphere.

First it is an old city, the village of Old Antibes, founded by the Greeks 2600 years ago and whose city walls still echo the voices of all the artists who sang its praise. Wandering through the narrow cobbled streets of Antibes ‘vieille ville’ is a treat. Stroll past shops, houses and churches, some dating back to the 16th century. Enter artist’s studios and try your hand at blowing glass, moulding clay, cooking with flowers …Explore ancient squares and courtyards and discover cafés and bars where you can watch the passerbys and relax as a real local. Or why not, a bit of daring at the absinth museum where you’ll feel deliciously decadent enjoying a glass of absinth in the purest tradition.

Second, it is a prestigious cape of worldwide fame, acclaimed for its exceptional hotels and privileged environment. Some call it an ecological cathedral, others say it is a paradise for sports lovers, many dub it a glorious hideout for the seriously rich of this world.

Third, it is a seaside resort, the village of Juan-les-Pins launched by the Americans in the roaring twenties, sought by all for its nightlife, its shopping and its sandy beaches but also for some of its art deco architecture very reminiscent of Miami Beach. Juan-les-Pins is synonymous with the dream of the Côte d’Azur – crystal clear waters, sandy beaches and glorious sunrises and sunsets and the joyful sounds of youth enjoying cocktails with live music on the sunny terraces.

And then, there are museums including the first museum dedicated to Picasso and whose collection will never leave its Antibes shelter according to the will of Picasso when donating his work to the city.

There are historical monuments like the 16th century Fort Carré and some prestigious festivals like Jazz à Juan, the oldest jazz festival of Europe where all the big names have performed. Jazz in Juan 60iest anniversary will take place this coming July from the 9th to the 21st. With stars such as Gregory Porter or Melody Gardot to name just these two.

And of course, Antibes Juan-les-Pins offers over 2500 hotel rooms of all categories ranging from one of the most prestigious palace in the world “The Hotel du Cap Eden Roc” to charming boutique and family hotels, a thalasso centre, self-catering residences and campsites, close to 300 restaurants with a wide selection of gastronomical, provençal and family cooking.

As for sports, all nautical sports can be enjoyed here and in the close vicinity, at less than 45 minutes’ drive, many golf courses offer interesting challenges.

Antibes Juan-les-Pins offers everything including the risk of falling in love with its charm, beauty and authenticity.
