The Cayman Islands are three idyllic islands nestled in the warm turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Each island of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman offers a unique experience and enjoy an average temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, perfect for a spot of sunshine year-round.
For relaxation, swimming and sunbathing head to Seven Mile Beach, a seemingly endless stretch of pristine white sand and palm trees. Alternatively, Rum Point is the perfect venue for cocktails, lazing in hammocks and soaking up the Caribbean lifestyle. A visit here is not complete without a delicious mudslide cocktail, rumoured to have been invented at the Wreck Bar back in the ‘50s.
Of course, the crystal-clear waters surrounding the islands offer endless hours of entertainment too including sailing, snorkelling, kayaking, jet skiing, kitesurfing and paddle boarding. To see Cayman from a different angle why not take an exhilarating helicopter tour for a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of Grand Cayman, or abseil down the Bluff on Cayman Brac.
For adventure under the water, the 365 dive sites are suitable for every level of expertise with many just a short trip from the shore. Or for something really special, head to Stingray City, a unique site where friendly wild stingrays congregate around a shallow sand bar in open waters.
For European visitors British Airways offer four direct flights a week from London Heathrow to Grand Cayman. Alternatively, there are numerous same-day connections through Miami International Airport and various other US airport hubs.
