Luxury rooms and services today are the basis for a premium hotel. Innovative restaurants, contemporary wellness concepts, digital services – everything is part of a guest’s holiday experience and everything must be taken care of down to the last detail. But if there is something that sensitively determines the overall quality of experience during the days one spends on holiday, well, these are the experiences outside a hotel and resort. They determine the guest’s perception of the level of connection of the structure with the territory in which it is located. And the more in-depth and local they are, the more they are perceived as added value.

The Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences that are about to experience the warm season are certainly an excellent example of a Premium Collection that responds perfectly to the needs of contemporary travellers. First and foremost, those sensitive to environmental issues who, with the newly launched Green.Rate, can obtain a discount and credit to spend on hotel services if they reach their destination by public or electric transport.

In general, all the Falkensteiner Premium Collection properties have an Experience Concierge dedicated exclusively to giving tailor-made advice to each guest who wishes to enjoy particular types of experiences, from the most local to the most refined, from adventurous to the most unusual shopping. And much more.

For example, at the Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Jesolo, you can explore one of the most interesting parts of the Venetian lagoon: Valle Cavallino. Here the lagoon gives the best of its flora and fauna and also features rural-type buildings set in a wonderful context, between sky and water.

Changing country and crossing the Alps, we go to Austria where the marvellous Falkensteiner Schlosshotel Velden, on the shores of Lake Wörthersee, offers full immersion in fishing and fly-fishing, a very local and exciting yet relaxing activity.

In South Tyrol, at the Falkensteiner Hotel Kronplatz, there are a thousand things to do, but in particular, the Experience Concierge would suggest visiting the highest point in Europe where salmon is smoked, among the rocky peaks of the Dolomites.

Returning to the sea, in Italy, is the Falkensteiner Resort Capo Boi in Villasimius, Sardinia. This resort is set in the natural surroundings of the Capo Carbonara Marine Protected Area, which offers plenty in terms of flora and fauna, as well as activities to discover, both along the coast and on the sea. Undoubtedly, sailing the most transparent waters of Italy in a catamaran or two-masted schooner, with an aperitif on board at sunset, is a truly suggestive experience.

To conclude on a high note, let us return to the subject of sustainability and thus to the Falkensteiner Hotel Montafon in Austria. The hotel opened its doors last December for the first time and is an eco-resort for families that is sustainably powered. All the entertainment activities for children and young people are devoted to ecotainment and in this hotel, contact with the lush nature of the Golm mountain is truly constant. Among the many activities, we recommend Golmi’s Forschungspfad, a very interesting family hiking trail with 21 stations and many activities to do when you reach them. For nature lovers, it is the way to discover everything, but really everything about the nature of the place.

In just a few lines, we crossed the Alps and sailed the most beautiful Italian seas, also passing through lagoon landscapes. The Falkensteiner Premium Collection offers its guests a holiday that is never banal and, on the contrary, always rich in content and learning moments that are useful for everyone’s growth. Experiences are crucial in making a holiday memorable and generating that desire to return to the same places or discover new ones. And with Falkensteiner, this always happens.

Waste separation and recycling are carried out at all levels – from restaurants and kitchens to accommodation and other hotel departments. Seawater is used as an alternative to fossil fuels in the hotel’s heating and cooling systems, and to produce drinking water at the desalinization plant and treat wastewater to reuse it for irrigation. The resort is a car-free zone featuring electric vehicles and several EV charging points. Due to these efforts, this resort is among the top environmentally friendly properties in Croatia and Europe.
