G Adventures is an adventure travel company offering the widest selection of affordable small group tours, safaris, and expeditions to more than 100 countries across seven continents. Their small group tours help you share yourself with the world. Yes, you. Because if you’re looking to travel, you’re the kind of person who’s open to seeing new places, trying new things, and learning about our differences all over the world.
G Adventures’ tours are loaded with opportunities for shared experiences between you, your group, and the local people you meet during your journey. Not only that, G Adventures works with local businesses to help under-served communities benefit from the global travel economy and establish development projects in the places we visit. You can find more than 550 tours that promise life-changing ways to connect with the world.
G Adventures’ small group tours connect you with the world in a way unlike you’ve ever experienced before. Each one is designed to let you enjoy must-do highlights, embrace spontaneous situations, revel in personal freedom, and share eye-opening encounters with local people. They believe it’s only by giving more of yourself to our world that you can get so much back.
Responsible travel isn’t just something G Adventures do. It’s in everything they do. After 30 years, this has been a shared belief of every G employee proud to wear the Looptail, from the company’s leader to the tour leaders. Life-changing experiences are an obsession. Of course for travellers, but equally for the people and local communities the tours visit. They call it G for Good and it includes all of the social, moral and ethical Good we undertake as a business. Like the Looptail, it’s cyclical. The more you give the more you get back and the Good carries on. That’s why the social value of what G Adventures do is just as important to them as the profits they earn. Planeterra’s projects play a big role, as do industry firsts like the Ripple Score and the welfare guidelines and best practices G Adventures have developed and are committed to delivering upon. But at the core of all that the company does is you. G Adventures’ travellers, suppliers, partners and employees — the greater collective — is what will ultimately drive change for everyone. That’s why our world deserves more you.
In 2003, G Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip created the Planeterra Foundation, a non-profit organization designed to minimize tourism’s impact on the world’s great destinations and promote sustainable solutions in the communities that call those destinations home. As a non-profit supported by a for-profit business, Planeterra’s operational model is different from traditional charities. The mission is simple: to work with communities to harness the benefits of travel, and to support and grow social, environmental, and economic solutions in destinations travellers love. What powers those solutions? Travellers like you.
At its heart, travel is about exchange. That’s why G Adventures ensures that the communities travellers explore with them get something back from the experience, too. Since 1990, they’ve integrated over 50 self-sustaining Planeterra projects into over 180 itineraries. These projects address local challenges by providing benefits for Indigenous people, empowering marginalized women, and granting disadvantaged youth access to education, employment, and brighter futures.
