Kids Club Kampala's projects
What started as a small project in one slum, now supports over 300,000 children and their families across 12 slum communities across Uganda. Kids Club Kampala provides for children’s basic needs and bring about long-term sustainable changes in their lives.
feeding
At least 9 million Ugandans are food insecure, and 5.8 million people living in Uganda are malnourished. In the slums where we work, hunger is a big problem.
We provide hot, nutritious meals every day to children who need it, making a significant difference to their health, welfare and happiness. We also distribute food to families in vital need from our community food banks.
protecting
We provide safe spaces and fun activities for children to have respite and play. We work with specially trained volunteers and counsellors on safeguarding projects with teens, working with the community to identify vulnerable, at-risk children. Our Ewafe Home offers emergency help and a safe place to live to at-risk children, while also working to reunite them with their relatives.

educating
School in Uganda is not free. It’s extremely difficult for poor families in Uganda to afford the cost of sending their children to school and as a result, many children miss out on a vital education.
We believe that all children have the right to have a good education, and that education is vital to breaking the cycle of poverty. Our education projects are a lifeline to so many children from Kampala’s slums who would otherwise have no opportunity to have an education.
skilling
85% of people employed in the informal sector in Uganda live below the poverty line.
In the slums, opportunities for work are usually in the informal sector. Our Skilling projects offer free vocational training and business skills to parents, to help them generate income for their families. These include sewing and tailoring projects, craft making, livestock investments and carpentry skills training.
