Mauritius is another great option, with direct flights, but also an indirect flight on Emirates via Dubai and who wouldn’t want to fly Emirates?
If you are still keen to go to the Caribbean, maybe switch to one of the lesser-known islands, such as St Kitts, Nevis, Dominica, or Grenada. All are different in their own right and offer an authentic Caribbean feel with outstanding scenery. British Airways is also adding a direct flight to Aruba from March 2023!
