The MS Society is the leading UK charity for people with Multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is a progressive and incurable neurological condition where the immune system attacks the brain and spinal cord. There are over 130,000 people in the UK with MS. It’s unpredictable, and different for everyone and can cause problems with how we walk, move, see, think and feel. It can make it hard for us to work, and do the things we enjoy. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Whether you have MS, or care about someone who does, our community is here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between.

Right now, the Coronavirus crisis is creating unique challenges for people living with MS. Many people with MS need our support now more than ever. COVID-19 has had an unprecedented impact on the demand for our services, and inparticular our MS Helpline has seen a huge surge in demand as people get in touch with questions about treatments, finances and self-isolation. Or just as importantly, to talk through their worries with someone who understands.

We understand what life’s like with MS, and we’re here to ensure no one has to face MS alone.

Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

How your support can help:

£5 can pay for laboratory essentials such as petri dishes and latex gloves. It seems small, but these things are essential to our scientists’ work in stopping MS.

£50 could pay for a phone call with an MS Nurse, giving someone struggling with MS information and support from a healthcare professional, without having to leave their home.

£100 could help cover the costs of our multi-award winning MS helpline, providing a central lifeline for the community and supporting people to live well with MS through this crisis.
