Airport Transfer

Andros is a 15-minute flight from Nassau; on arrival, it’s a 20-minute taxi ride than a five-minute ferry crossing to reach the hotel. You can also arrive by seaplane or helicopter.

On a 96-acre private cay on the east coast of Andros, separated from the island by a tidal creek.

Accommodation

There are 27 individually-furnished cottages, bungalows and Balinese-style beach houses, decorated in a bright and airy style. Cool off in the sea breeze on your private veranda, and enjoy in-room amenities including air conditioning, Bose sound system, Nespresso machine, tea selection, mini bar, in-room safe and Molton Brown toiletries. You also have your own golf cart to get around the island. The beautiful Beach Bungalows feature an outdoor shower and bath, while the Pigeon Plum Cottage Suite has a kitchenette. Beach Rooms can interconnect with Beach Suites to create a larger space for families and groups, and there is a collection of stunning villas ranging from one to four bedrooms.

Restaurants And Bars

The Great House is the hotel’s social hub, housing the main restaurant, lounge and bar. The mouthwatering menu features island fine dining with an Asian twist, making ample use of fresh seafood and local produce. The relaxed Tiki Bar & Beach Grill is set in a palm grove next to the pool and is open for lunch, serving small plates, burgers, wraps and salads. As you might expect, the Tiki Bar also has a tempting tropical cocktail menu.

The main attraction here is the gorgeous natural setting, with three miles of private white-sand beach. The on-site PADI dive centre offers various courses, and you can try out watersports including kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Kamalame Cay also boasts the only over-water spa in the Bahamas, with an irresistible menu of facials, wraps, massages and body treatments using organic OSEA products. Other facilities include a freshwater pool, tennis courts, fitness centre and bicycles for exploring, and the hotel can organise excursions to nearby islands or a romantic picnic on a deserted beach.
