Sea-Changers is a UK charity, managed by a small team of volunteers who love the UK’s seas, shores and wildlife. We develop bespoke fundraising partnerships with businesses who want to give something back to the seas and demonstrate their commitment to UK marine conservation. The money raised through our partnerships is used to fund our biannual grant–giving process. We give grants to UK marine charities and not for profit organisations for conservation and research projects right around the UK. While we do fund projects for many well–established marine conservation charities, we also fund many grass roots and community based conservation that simply would not happen without our grant support.

Whatever the size of the organisation we fund we want to ensure our grants:
- Address the root causes of marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.
- Prevent or reduce negative impacts on UK coastal and marine environments and / or species.
- Add to the body of knowledge about marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.
Why Sea-Changers?
Our oceans are in trouble from overfishing, pollution, lack of protection, and climate change. We need to act now to protect the oceans for the future.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a world where the seas and shores are clean and healthy and marine species are protected.
Our mission
To harness people’s love for the sea, inspiring them to contribute positively to its sustainability.
To enable businesses that care about the marine environment to make a difference.
To fund grassroots marine conservation projects through business partnerships.
Our Goals
To enable grassroots, community-led marine conservation to happen all around the UK’s shores and coasts.
To create communities of Sea-Changers – people who care about the seas, are willing to take practical actions to make a difference and have the funds they need to put their plans in to action.
Our Projects
Since 2011, Sea-Changers has given over £100,00 to over a 175 marine conservation projects all around the UK. We recognise that a range of actions and solutions is required. Our projects seek to:
- Address the root causes of marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.
- Prevent or reduce negative impacts on UK coastal and marine environments and / or species.
- Add to the body of knowledge about marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.
