97% of the global wild tiger population has been lost in 100 years. Fewer than 3900 remain so it’s vital we protect them and their precious habitat. Two-thirds (2967) of all wild tigers are in India.

We aim to give wild tigers a wild future by reducing wild tiger deaths and increasing their numbers. We achieve this via:
1. Anti-poaching measures
2. Reduction of human-wildlife conflict
3. Education

what we do

waterholes

Tigers4Ever aims to protect tigers in the wild by providing water for for Bandhavgarh’s tigers. Climate change has resulted in severe drought in the region, this means Tigers and their prey come into the village to find food and water. But this can leave villagers without food and water. Our project provides solar-powered borehole pumps to bring underground water to the surface year-round for tigers & their prey thus reducing human-animal conflict and the impact of climate change.

anti-poaching patrols

Our Anti-Poaching Patrols aim to eradicate snares around Bandhavgarh so tigers can walk safely, and to educate local communities to foster positive attitudes towards tigers and other wildlife. Our patrols have achieved a 97.5% reduction in tiger deaths from poaching and poisoning in just under 7 years. Maintaining a positive impact by continuing patrolling is key to the long-term survival of wild tigers; whilst educating and employing local people helps to relieve poverty.

education

Education is key to ensuring wild tigers have wild futures. Since 2010 we’ve provided 3015 education packs for children in more than 30 villages around Bandhavgarh to enable them to go to school. We want to help as many children to grow up as tiger protectors as we can each year.
