Warming Up The Homeless (WUTH) support, feed, and clothe 45,000 men, women, and children a year via outreach, weekly Saturday Kitchen, and monthly Sunday Supper Club drop-in sessions, our Homestart scheme, welfare and advocacy or our rapid response team. The Charity now has its own lawyer specialising in housing and will undertake all housing issues that our homeless communities face. We also offer a satellite food bank, run strictly on a referral basis, and currently supply 200+ food parcels a week to rough sleepers or those who are vulnerably housed homeless.

We are very proud to be a registered Charity and we are passionate about supporting, signposting, feeding, and clothing our homeless communities. As well as our outreach, we have a busy welfare and advocacy department.

We run four vans, an excellent team of volunteer drivers, all of whom pick up donations of clothing and food. We currently have over 300 fantastic volunteers. All volunteers have enhanced DBS checks, are fully trained in safeguarding and professional boundaries. We have a clear set of food hygiene policies; our home cooks are registered with their councils and their kitchens have been inspected by their council and by Environmental Health. They are also qualified in food hygiene etc with level 1, 2 or 3 food hygiene certificates and allergens testing.

New to WUTH is our Family Support Group. The group is for the families of the homeless who have addictions. This applies to anyone who has a family member who is currently homeless or has been homeless in the past 3 years and who has addictions or mental illness or both. WUTH do so much for the homeless themselves, but the families are often devastated by their son/daughter/sibling etc being open to the elements or stuck in a room by themselves.

WUTH relies on the generosity of donors and is extremely grateful for any support that they receive. Did you know that a £15 donation:

  • Feeds 15 people during one of our weekly outreach rounds: or
  • Feeds 15 people at our Saturday Kitchen drop-in sessions: or
  • Provides 15 breakfast packs: or
  • Provides 4 toiletry packs: or
  • Buys a sleeping bag to shelter those rough sleeping this winter; or
  • Buys protein for our home cooks to make into nutritious meals for outreach to feed 15 people
