There are so many reasons to consider booking a villa for your next luxury holiday.
If you are a family looking for a summer holiday, this is an excellent choice. With babies and children in tow, you have the space for them to play, just like home, and you don’t have to worry about making too much noise. It is important to choose the right villa, though, as you don’t want one full of precious antiques or furniture with sharp corners! If there are lots of stairs, this might be one to avoid, too, unless there are stair gates. You’ll need the pool to be either fenced off or alarmed, too. The beauty of a villa is that the children can have their own rooms, so you can enjoy some grown-up time in the evenings.
If you have older children, this is perfect, too, as they can have their own rooms and enjoy some independence. Many villas now have a games room, with a pool or table tennis table, games console and large sofas for lounging around. I’ve seen many with fantastic cinema rooms too. The kids will be delighted and never want to go home!
A luxury villa is great for multi-generational holidays, too. Grandparents can often have their own annexe. Maybe travel with extended family and their children too. Or pair up with friends and their families.
If you like to eat out, choose a villa within easy walking or driving distance of restaurants. You then have the option of rustling up your own breakfast and maybe a light lunch and then going out for dinner. Other villas can be fully staffed and catered, so you have a chef on some or all evenings to cook for you.
Some clients like to be completely private and tucked away far from anywhere and everyone. But another option is a villa that has access to the facilities of a hotel, so you are still very private, but can eat in the hotel restaurants and use the leisure facilities.
