BHT Sussex provides vulnerable people the support they need to get off the streets and find a place they can call home.
Our First Base Day Centre based in Brighton provides a range of services including hot food, showers, laundry facilities as well as vital one-to-one support addressing the problems that have caused homelessness. Our Advice Centres based in Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings provide specialist free-of-charge advice on a range of housing, immigration and welfare benefits issues that prevent people from becoming homeless.
We must continue to support our service users through the pandemic and safeguard the future of our services. Each day our dedicated staff team of key workers continue to:
- Work with local councils to ensure vulnerable homeless people can self-isolate
- Provide vital advice to those seeking housing, immigration or benefits issues
- Support residents in our care homes and addiction services
- Utilise technology to provide mental health support
