What is your idea of a great Christmas holiday? If you are tired of spending Christmas at home, just want a break for a change or to get away from the commercialism of Christmas, there are plenty of options, subject to availability.
Maybe you would like to travel to Lapland with the family, pre-Christmas and see Father Christmas in his own home? I can vouch for this experience. I took my children when they were quite young, and I think they actually believed they had seen the real thing for at least ten years afterwards. I have to say the Father Christmas we saw was very convincing! Be careful who you choose for this experience. You want it to be magical. I can guide you.
Speaking of magical, what could be more so than seeing the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Disneyland Florida, complete with fake snow? Ask me about the best luxury hotels and villas to stay in. Disney at Christmas is so exciting!
Maybe you fancy staying in an ice hotel or an Arctic spa retreat? With the snow all around you, you stay all snug under your eiderdown and watch the magical display of stars in the night sky. I recommend the Arctic Retreat and the Arctic Bath. Superb luxury properties you will be amazed by.
If all this talk of snow is making you shiver, perhaps a week or so in the sunshine might be for you. The Caribbean will already be heavily booked up, but ask me if you fancy a luxury break there, or maybe the Maldives, Mauritius, or the Middle East?
One of my very favourite hotels in the Maldives has had a face-lift and is about to re-open. Huvafen Fushi was already fabulous when I stayed there, but all 44 bungalows will be fully refurbished in a new modern style using local materials where possible.
