As if it wasn’t enough to dress up (optional but fun) and board a gorgeous steam train at London Victoria, be transported back in time to a golden era, pretend you’re in an Agatha Christie movie and sample champagne and fabulous food while you roll through the countryside, cross the channel and board the Orient Express itself and travel on through France and into Italy, next year they are introducing eight new suites (bookable now but they’ll be in great demand).
The four different designs are influenced by the classic landscapes the train passes through mountains, lakes, forests, and countryside. The original carriages have been lovingly restored with pioneering innovations such as en-suite bathrooms, twin or double beds, and a new daytime configuration that allows guests to unwind in style.
Most clients take the train down to Venice, maybe breaking the journey in Paris for a couple of nights, before spending three or four nights in Venice itself before flying home.
