About Moving Mountains Trust
Moving Mountains Trust works with disadvantaged children and communities in Kenya, Tanzania and Nepal. Our central objective is the relief of poverty alongside funding programmes and projects dedicated to improving education, health and social welfare for the communities we work with.
We also offer opportunities for volunteers, schools and university groups to get involved in our work overseas at a grass root level, which is very much a hands-on personal development endeavour whilst also fundraising for the charity project and our beneficiaries.
Kenya
Our work in Kenya is wide reaching and diverse. We work in differing environments from city slums to remote rural villages. We fund and support rescue centres for street children, special needs schools, educational support programs, sport and wellbeing projects and have built and installed dozens of classrooms, water pumps, clinics and expanded hospitals.
Tanzania
Over recent years we have been concentrating on building and establishing a school on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, which will take us, with your support, another few years to complete.
Nepal
Our work in Nepal is mostly focused in rural communities high in the mighty Himalaya. Here we have run medical camps, built a medical centre, installed eco-stoves, built an entire hydro-electric power plant, installed clean water supplies, renovated monasteries and built, renovated and supported classrooms, schools and teachers.
