MRKH Connect was founded in 2014 to support those with Mayer Rokitansky Küster Hauser (MRKH) syndrome by Kelly and Janet who were inspired by a video focused on difference being a gateway to connection.  They knew from their own experience that connecting with someone going through the same thing was life changing.  Their mission, which remains ours today, is to connect those with MRKH together, wherever they are in the world, to ensure no one with MRKH feels alone whilst also providing support to them and their families and promoting awareness of MRKH to medical professionals and the public.

MRKH Syndrome is a congenital condition (present at birth) that affects around 1 in 5000 female births.  MRKH is a disorder of reproductive development leading to the absence of the uterus, cervix, and the shortened vagina.  With diagnosis typically between ages 15-17 the impact of the diagnosis and being faced with adult topics such as infertility at a young age also brings with it a mental health toll that only those also going through it can truly understand.
