The Mondo Foundation are looking for experienced teachers to work alongside our newly trained primary teachers in village schools in the beautiful Helambu region of Nepal in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Volunteers live with local families and teach for 4 weeks or longer, helping to introduce child centred methodology and share ideas with local staff.
Mondo Foundation works in areas of the world where people face extraordinary challenges and there are no simple answers. The charity works with partner organisations to ensure that communities can access quality education and earn enough to live healthy and fulfilling lives.
Over 90% of the schools in the Helambu area were damaged or destroyed by the 2015 earthquakes. Mondo responded by providing emergency support to people in the worst hit area and then started rebuilding schools. The charity is now focused on improving the quality of education through teacher training and support, including international volunteering.
