Spain – Scooby Medina

Volunteers can help in the preparing of food, feeding the dogs, cleaning the paddocks, providing the dogs with attention, and the many other jobs that come with working at a shelter. Scooby will provide with an accommodation (subject to availability) in a shelter for long term volunteers. Scooby also welcomes the expertise of veterinarians.

For more than 30 years, Scooby has been providing shelter to abandoned and mistreated animals. In the nineties we brought to light the atrocities inflicted on galgos (Spanish greyhounds). At present, Scooby is the biggest shelter in Spain, currently homing more than one thousand dogs and cats, and two hundred farm animals who live in the sanctuary. The organisation has several shelters in the region of Castilla y León, namely in Medina del Campo, Valladolid, Zamora and Palencia.
