Together Against Cancer exist to support people through their cancer journey and beyond. We are based in the East Midlands; however, we have cherished TAC Members visiting our Education and Wellbeing Centre and using our online services throughout the UK.

We give advice to prevent cancer and support people who have a cancer diagnosis.  We help those that have suffered the effects from their aggressive cancer treatments, give end-of-life counselling and give support to their carers.

Our mission is being committed to helping those fighting and recovering from cancer, our goal is ultimately to equip as many people as possible with the power to take control of their own health.

We give our support through advice, guidance, one to one support, and counselling. Our educational workshops deliver a wide range of wellbeing events. We offer complementary therapies in a safe and welcoming space such as scar therapy, aroma-massage, counselling reiki, reflexology, and classes including Yoga, Tai Chi, and Tong Ren. We offer support in our Wellbeing and Education Centre or online using the interactive sessions, workshops and classes.

We deliver group therapy sessions, ‘Talking Therapy’, and one to one counselling sessions. We also provide small grants to those wanting to follow an integrated approach.  We are committed to helping people with cancer, their carers and the wider community. We are a small charity with a big heart, we never refuse anyone that needs our help if we can give it. We fundraise and receive public donations to fund our vital work. Our services and memberships are free for all cancer patients and their carers. We support those who have had financial hardship through a cancer diagnosis as 4 out of 5 people are financially effected whilst living with cancer. We are here to help our cherished TAC Members and visitors through their cancer diagnosis and beyond with continued support.

In 2021 we will need even more help to fund our essential work, we know from a survey we conducted in December 2020 that our members have suffered severe mental health difficulties due to the Covid19 pandemic, with comments such as “I am really worried” or   “I am so frightened my cancer has come back”. 100% of members questioned said their anxiety was worse now than before the pandemic. Lack of testing, appointments and communication were the main causes. We have so much to do in 2021 please support our vital work, no matter how small the donation, we are the charity where every penny counts.
